The meeting your car is dreaming about!![]() Dear Lancia friend, The characteristic “SLIDING PILLAR” independent front suspension found on every Lancia for over forty years is a significant engineering feature that no doubt contributed to the marque’s success. From the fabulous Lambda till the subtle Appia all Lancia's shared this ingenious suspension. We think that for this reason "Sliding Pillar" is also the logical name for an event having the ambition to bring the glory and the brilliance of those magnificent cars really back to life. With the approval of, and in close collaboration with, the British Sliding Pillar organiser Ade Rudler, the first European Sliding Pillar meeting will take place the second week-end of June 2001 in the Belgian Ardennes. It promises to be a significant international Lancia gathering for Lambda's, Dilambda's, Astura's, Artena's, Augusta's, Belna's, Aprilia's, Ardenne's, Ardea's, Aurelia's, Appia's and Florida's. Based around the little town of Houffalize (near to Bastogne), the scenic rally route through this beautiful corner of Belgium and Luxembourg is on roads that will charm any classic Lancia driver. The all-in package including meals and three nights shared chalet accommodation is only Euro 280 (approx. £ 180) per person if booked in 2000. The price in 2001 will be Euro 300 (approx. £ 190) per person. So, mark your agenda's now: the first European Sliding Pillar meeting: 8-9-10-11 of June 2001, Les Onays, Houffalize Belgium.
