Le Relais de la Valliere Le Relais de la Valliere is in Belgium just accross the border from France. It is between Mons (in Belgium) and Valenciennes (in France). You will pass very close to it when travelling from Paris to Brussels or v.v. on the E19.
Plenty of parking space, both in front and at the side of the building. There are boxes if you want to put your car inside.
 
Cosy bar.
When I was there in september 2000, the excellent gastronomical menue was 990 BEF (appr. 25 euro). A wine arrangement (including apperetif) is BEF 500. (appr. 12 euro)
 
Wining and dining in a nice atmosphere.
Rooms are appr. 35 euro each. Not bad at all!

Annabelle and I checked it out again on July 22, 2001. Still an excellent lunch at a very decent price. They now have their own website at www.relaisdelavalliere.be.

The area is very good for navigation practice if you want to practice for rallies like the Tulip Rallye.
