Some 3 weeks ago I mounted 5 new 155x14 Goodyear Grand Prix S tires on my S2 berlina. After 10 days I had a flat tyre, which I had fixed at the local garage around the corner. They said the cause was dirt between the tyre and the tube.

Another ten days later I had another flat. This time I went to my tyre dealer and we took off all five tyres. Investigation revealed that 3 out of the 5 tyres had had a sticker on the inside. The remaing particles of the glue had dissolved the rubber of the tube. We carefully cleaned the spots and for exra security put a tube repair patch over it.

The tyre dealer is a quite big one, where I have been going for over 25 years. They had never experienced this before.
Although the Goodyear Grand Prix S is a tubeless tyre, I think it is bad practice to use glue or any other product on it, which is agressive to tubes.
So, when you mount new tyres, carefully inspect the inside and be suspicious of everything.
